SIPPO Import Promotion Forum 2026: Building Export Promotion Systems that Last

SIPPO's Import Promotion Forum is a format which facilitates the exchange between BSOs in SIPPO countries and Swiss importer networks and import promotion organisations on trade-related issues. It brings together BSOs from SIPPO countries in the aim to exchange on topics which are relevant for all of them, from sustainability and digitalisation, to collaboration that goes beyond geographic border.

SIPPO's Import Promotion Forum has a long tradition. It has served and will continue to serve as an important instrument for bridging the critical last mile from export-oriented BSOs and their members to the importer networks in Switzerland and Europe. In this way, the Import Promotion Forum promotes the development of sustainable, effective trade networks that are independent of SIPPO.

This year’s event will focus on exchanges around enhanced collaboration to ensure that Export Promotion Systems are built to last, beyond SIPPO’s interventions. BSOs will attend round-table discussions on topics related to sustainability and digitalisation. They will participate in a panel discussion among the Swiss State Secretariat of Economic Affairs (SECO), International Trade Centre (ITC), and BSOs from Colombia. Furthermore, they will discuss real life examples of the challenges faced by some of the Business Support Organizations in their contexts, and exchange on experiences, best practices and ideas for further collaboration.
